The last four remaining olive slabs sold yesterday to client who is going to turn them into a dining table and a matching bartop.
The slabs came off of a huge olive tree that was cut down by the city about 15 miles south of us in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca. Luckily, the wood was salvaged before it was chipped and instead was milled into beautiful live edge slabs.
Every slab had amazing figure/color and also had very minimal sapwood, (very rare in most olive trees).
Supposedly, we have a lead on another tree that needs to be removed by the city. We will post some pictures if we are able to get a hold of the wood.
We've got our fingers crossed…
